Getting started with OG01

Three short guides covering how to score a website, how to read the Authority Rating that comes back, and what each of the four Smart Cards is telling you.

Tutorial 1

How to score your website

1
Enter your URL
Enter the URL you want OG01 to assess. For hotel groups, you can score an individual property rather than relying on the parent brand alone.
2
OG01 assesses the observable signals
OG01 assesses the authority signals it can observe across four intelligence areas: Brand Intelligence, Search Intelligence, AI Readiness, and AI Risk & Exposure.
3
Review what comes back
Once complete, review your Authority Rating, four Smart Cards, key findings, and areas requiring attention.
4
Treat it as your baseline
Your first score creates a baseline. Everything you measure afterwards is a comparison against it.

Tutorial 2

How to understand your Authority Rating

Your Authority Rating is expressed on a scale of 0 to 100. A stronger rating indicates a stronger measured authority profile across the signals OG01 can observe.

Look beyond the number. Two organisations with the same rating can have very different underlying profiles, and the profile is usually more useful than the total. For example:

A strong brand with weak search performance
The organisation is well understood as an entity, but is not appearing consistently when people search by need rather than by name.
Good search performance with technical retrieval problems
The organisation ranks, but information is not structured or accessible enough for systems to retrieve and interpret it reliably.
Useful content with weak entity clarity
The material is genuinely helpful, but systems cannot confidently establish who published it or how it connects to the wider organisation.

Reading the profile tells you where to start. The total on its own does not.

Important

The Authority Rating is a measurement. It does not guarantee search rankings, AI recommendations, citations, traffic, leads, bookings, or revenue.

Tutorial 3

How to read your four Smart Cards

Each Smart Card answers a different question about how your organisation is understood, retrieved and positioned. Read them together: a rating is the summary, the cards are the explanation.

Brand Intelligence
Do search and AI systems clearly understand who you are?
Looks at entity clarity, how consistently your organisation is described across sources, and whether independent sources corroborate the same information.
Search Intelligence
Are you visible when people search by need?
There is a difference between a search for your hotel by name and a search such as "best luxury hotel Burleigh Heads". The first has already chosen you. The second is where the consideration set is being formed, and this card measures how you appear there and how you compare with competitors.
AI Readiness
Can systems reliably retrieve and use your information?
Looks at whether your key information is accessible, structured and clear enough for search and AI systems to retrieve it and interpret it correctly.
AI Risk & Exposure
What is actively working against you?
Identifies ambiguity, access problems, conflicting information and other signals that reduce confidence in how your organisation is represented.

Where a card is strong, it is usually confirming something you already do well. Where a card is weak, it is pointing at the specific area to look at first.
